This ‘71 ’Cuda Packs A Knock-Out Punch You Won’t See Coming!

This ‘71 ’Cuda Packs A Knock-Out Punch You Won’t See Coming! Back in the day, the Chrysler factory guys took approximately two days from the time a body was panel-jigged ( or “gated-up”) from raw stampings until it rolled off the final line and out the door. At the time, they sent about one car off the assembly line every minute. Of course, they had everything they needed to build them at their fingertips, and did each task over and over. For somebody who desires something tuned up to a later era, this is not so easy a process, but Tom Gipe of Cypress, California, went the distance with his real FC7 In-Violet 'Cuda, which started as less than a roller.

2 Trans-Am Icons Found Stashed in the Same Barn: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 & 1970 Plymouth AAR ’Cuda Matt was driving to Pittsburgh with his father and Frank to look at a 7,000-mile, original paint, 1969 Hemi Road Runner, an old race car with no motor or transmission. "My dad was in the back seat reading the local trader paper. He said to me, 'Hey Matt, what's an X33 Camaro?'"Matt almost swerved off the road. "X33" on the trim tag of a 1969 Camaro denotes the Z/28 option. He stopped and called the number in the ad. It was winter, January 2016, about 6 o'clock in the evening. Matt told the seller, "I am 3 1/2 hours away. I can be at your house by 10 o'clock."Matt describes himself as a "diehard when I come on a good car.

I wasn't one of those who was always into cars. It wasn't until I uncovered a 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda in a repair shop that it flipped the switch in my head. Years ago, I was having a radio installed in my car in this shop when I saw this cool car sitting there. If this was here and I found it by accident, what else was out there?

The car eventually disappeared, but in 2016 I decided to stop in and see if they ever saw the car again. No sooner did I walk in that I saw it! (This time painted red.) Sitting in a pile of junk was the original grille with these weird Plymouth stickers. It was not in the greatest of shape, so the owners bought a new reproduction for the car.

Michigan Garage Find Gold After the Woodward Dream Cruise, I was able to see a collection of cars, trucks and even a motorcycle or two. In the owner's driveway was a C3 Corvette and a 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T convertible that he was working on. Behind the storage building I saw a couple of trucks that I couldn't make out, but they looked neglected. Also back in there was a 1962 Dodge Dart 4-door he was modifying into a 2-door.
