Hyundai Elantras Recalled Over Brake Pedal Stop Pad .
Transport Canada is issuing a recall on 2013 and 2014 Hyundai Elantra models. On some of those cars, an issue with the brake pedal could cause problems with the brake lights or when shifting out of park. The problem is the brake pedal stopper. The pad that stops the pedal from going too far when you slam on the brakes. The material the pad is made from could degrade over time. If that pad material degrades, it could cause a number of issues. The first is that the brake light switch would stay on when the brakes are released. That leaves the brake lights on continuously, so drivers around you can't tell when or if you're actually braking.
