This 1992 Cadillac Allanté Could Be A Good Idea Waiting To Happen

This 1992 Cadillac Allanté Could Be A Good Idea Waiting To Happen Feel like starting your Sunday morning off with a really bad, I mean, good decision? How about a 1992 Cadillac Allanté for $9,250? Billed as a “Pace Car Edition,” Barn Finds notes that the actual Allanté pace car at the 1992 Indianapolis 500 had an integrated roll-bar and was red; it was also a 1993 model, not a 1992. So: no integrated roll-bar on this one, meaning rolling it probably won’t end well. Still, this Allanté does have “OFFICIAL PACE CAR 76TH INDIANAPOLIS 500" in big ol’ lettering on the side, origin somewhat unknown. The color on it could best be described as “‘90s White.

With its Cadillac V-Performance DPi-V.R prototype, Cadillac captured its first ever IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2017, the first year of its return to endurance racing after 14 years in GT racing. The company fielded three cars, with brothers Jordan and Ricky Taylor winning the driver’s championship at the wheel of their father (and IMSA sports car racing legend) Wayne Taylor’s team, which captured the team championship to give Cadillac the trifecta.

The Championship Edition ATS-V and CTS-V super (of which 200 in total will be made for North American consumption) will come in a choice of Black Raven or Crystal White tricoat exterior, complete with contrasting Cadillac V-Performance graphics on hood and rear spoiler, and carbon fibre front splitter and hood vent, and rear spoiler and diffuser. They also feature Red Obsession side mirror caps, DPi-V.R graphic on rear quarter windows, Red Brembo brake calipers, and polished forged alloy V-Series wheels.

Chevy Centennial Edition celebrates 100 years of pickups with vintage bowties

Chevy Centennial Edition celebrates 100 years of pickups with vintage bowties
The special bowtie badge dates back to 1918
In fact, the vintage-style bowties are probably the defining characteristics of these trucks. Instead of the current chrome and gold badge, or one of the optional black and chrome or even illuminated badges, both the Silverado and Colorado get a navy blue bowtie with a chrome border. On the navy blue field is the word "Chevrolet" with a pair of hash marks above the words. According to Chevy truck design director Rich Scheer, the color and design of the badge was inspired by the badge on the original 1918 truck, as well as other early Chevys.

The special edition ATS-V celebrates Cadillac ’s dominating performance at endurance racing, as the brand won the 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Manufacturer, Driver, Team and Endurance Championships during its first year to returning to the sport in 14 years.

Other features include tri-zone climate control, heated outboard rear seats, rear window sunshades, and a sunroof. Options include a performance data and video recorder, faux suede steering wheel and shifter, advanced security package, and an 8-speed automatic. The cars will begin arriving in dealerships this month.

Cadillac XT4 Compact SUV Spied With Its Production Headlights .
A reveal could be just a couple months away. The last time we saw the new Cadillac XT4 testing, it had some very strange looking headlights up front. Those were pre-production units designed strictly for testing, as we now see the XT4’s actual lights in the latest round of spy shots. If we take a close look at the driver side door, we can also clearly see a rectangular shape in the camo wrap at the bottom. If our suspicions are correct, the XT4 could feature a set of deployable side steps that integrate into the SUV.
