2019 VW Touareg Caught Completely Uncovered In New Spy Photos

2019 VW Touareg Caught Completely Uncovered In New Spy Photos The German SUV appears to get a sharp makeover. Volkswagen’s new Touareg has been a long time coming. With a rumored debut date of early 2018, and promises of being more upscale and more advanced than the outgoing model, the German marque isn’t skimping out on its new SUV. While early prototype spy photos have given us an idea as to how it might look, cameras recently captured the new SUV in full while out on a commercial shoot.

The current generation of the Volkswagen Touareg is the last one we'll get here in the US. From here on out , the US must make do with the Atlas and Tiguan. Volkswagen . But the real meat and potatoes of the new Touareg is inside.

Manufacturers are rushing to churn out these high-riding 'soft-roaders' as fast as they can and Volkswagen is determined to fill in every size category possible. After months of spy shots, Volkswagen has officially released a teaser, showing the all- new Touareg in sketch form.

Volkswagen has released a design sketch of its new Touareg, which will have its world debut at the end of March in Beijing, the capital of the world’s strongest growing SUV market and VW’s largest individual market.

It was just before today when Volkswagen discharged a short mystery video with its all- new Touareg , and now the extravagance SUV is standing out as truly newsworthy by and by.

Unlike its exterior, the interior of the 2019 VW Touareg will remain predominantly VW -ish, with a lot of 90-degree angles to be found throughout. While previous teaser images only went so far in helping us figure out what the new SUV’s dashboard might look like

The design was penned by a team lead by Klaus Bischoff, Head of Volkswagen Design. Although it’s hard to tell from a line sketch, the company claims the new Touareg’s appearance is unmistakably strong in character, and it is chock full of driving aids for “a maximum degree of safety and comfort.”

We can’t vouch for the innovative assistance systems, as the company didn’t release much information with the sketch, but we can discern a 2-box design that looks almost identical to the current model, with visible changes such as low-profile headlights that wrap around to the fenders. The grille looks to have the horizontal slats of current VW passenger cars, such as the new Jetta, and the front bumper seems to have large side openings that likely meant to provide added air to the engine and the brakes, while probably also housing fog lamps. Body add-ons look to include a high-mounted rear spoiler and lower-body cladding (sills and wheel well flares).
