Police, paramedics and firefighters are at the scene of a crash involving a car, a tractor - trailer and a school bus . The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 6600 block of Walker Road, between County Road 8 and South Talbot Road.

Two children were taken to hospital Tuesday morning with minor injuries after a crash involving a school bus.

The collision happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 6600-block of Walker Road, between County Road 8 and South Talbot Road. A tractor trailer unit travelling south on Walker Road  collided with the rear of a school bus carrying approximately six elementary aged children, who were heading to St. Ursula’s School in McGregor, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

Two children were taken to an area hospital by ambulance to be treated for minor injuries. Neither driver nor the other children on the bus were injured during the collision.

Walker Road was closed between South Talbot Road and County Road 8 for approximately one hour but has since been reopened.

The investigation is continuing in relation to the cause of the collision, police said.
