  Party bus erupts into flames in downtown Vancouver No one was injured after a party bus caught fire on Smithe Street near Granville Street late Saturday night.Several witnesses shared video of the fire on social media, which officials said was burning in the rear of the vehicle when crews first arrived around 10 p.m.

Firefighters quickly knocked down a house fire Tuesday night near Pointe West Golf Club in Amherstburg . The Amherstburg fire department said everyone who was inside the house escaped unscathed.

A house fire in Amherstburg Tuesday night caused about $150,000 in damage.

The Amherstburg fire department said everyone who was inside the house escaped unscathed. 

Firefighters arrived at the single-storey home in the 300 block of McClellan Avenue around 6 p.m. The fire department said heavy smoke was pouring out of the home when they arrived.

Crews began an “interior attack” of the fire, which was in the basement of the house. They had the flames under control by about 6:30 p.m.

The fire department said later Tuesday that the blaze started in a basement crawl space. They could not determine what caused it. Firefighters managed to contain the flames to a small area of the basement but there was smoke damage throughout the house.
