Almost a month after being hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, a 36-year-old cyclist who was struck by a vehicle in May has died.

On May 15, a 36-year-old man was riding his bicycle on Colborne Lodge Dr., heading south towards Lake Shore Blvd. At the same time, police say a 27-year-old man was driving east on Lake Shore in a 2017 Honda Civic, approaching Colborne.

The two collided in the intersection just before 4 p.m., and the cyclist sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda remained on scene.

The cyclist was taken to hospital. He died on Thursday, June 7, police said.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone in the area who may have witnessed the collision or have dash camera footage to come forward.
