The “Star Wars” actor was honoured with the 2630th star, located in front of the restored 1920’s El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. Hamill's longtime friends, director George Lucas and Harrison Ford, were on hand to induct the actor in front of the massive crowd."Mark Hamill is a character that can't be written," Lucas says during the induction ceremony. "He's very enthusiastic about everything. That's exactly what I was looking for when I was looking for Luke Skywalker.

Grown-ish star Yara Shahidi, backed her cousin’s decision to take part in the walkout today, while Mark Hamill followed the protest from Dublin, Ireland. Some, like Debra Messing , proudly rallied at a local school walkout in New York.

On Wednesday, March 14, thousands of students are walking out of their schools one month after a gunman claimed 17 lives in a school shooting in Parkland, FL.

Across the U.S., students of all ages and grades have moved out of their classrooms, staging a 17-minute vow of silence in memory of the victims of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and to take a stand against gun violence one month after the February 14 shooting. Beginning at 10 a.m. local time, the protests are set to roll out across the country.
