10 (UPI) -- An attempted car thief in Washington left a pair of " Hulk Hands " on the steering wheel after being confronted by a witness. Pasco Police shared photos of the green styrofoam hands left clutching to the wheel after the car prowler fled the scene.

A man spotted sitting inside a Pasco, Washington resident's vehicle early Monday morning quickly fled after being confronted, only to leave behind a set of Styrofoam Hulk hands still clutching the wheel, KOMO reports.

Confirming they didn't belong to the car owner, Pasco police said of the giant green gloves, "They were not inside the vehicle before the prowl."

An after-credits scene unfolded about an hour later when just two blocks away from the scene of the crime, an officer spotted the alleged Avenger-turned-assailant, who matched the description of the car owner.

Upon being arrested, Ariel Contreras was discovered to both have a warrant and be in possession of paperwork stolen from the vehicle, in addition to an "odd variety of items."

The 33-year-old was booked into Franklin County jail for the warrant as well as new charges of vehicle prowl and possession of stolen property.

$500,000 in rare coins and bills stolen in Mississauga .
Police are investigating after a British Columbia man had around $500,000 worth of rare coins and bills stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in Mississauga last month. The 68-year-old man had travelled to Ontario for a collectibles convention, police said. He parked in a hotel parking near Edwards Blvd. and Derry Rd. on Sept. 28, leaving two bags of coins and bills inside his vehicle. According to police, a suspect — described as a balding man with a heavy build and between the ages of 35 and 45 — broke into the collector’s vehicle at around 1 p.m. that day and walked away with the bags.
