Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum… and Dennis K. Morgan.

One of these things is not like the other.

Morgan, the regular anthem singer for the Nashville Predators, is apparently unhappy with having been bumped in favour of various country stars throughout Nashville’s run to the Western Conference Final.

He revealed his frustrations to The Tennessean on Monday.

“I’m not going to hide my disappointment and I told the Predators that I have been asked the same question over and over and it’s just really getting old,” said Morgan. “Everywhere I go — obviously at my day job (as a healthcare IT recruiting manager) and at (Bridgestone) arena as well as everywhere else I go to church, grocery stores, on the street, in meetings and in restaurants — people want to know how I feel.”

Slow down! China to set tempo of national anthem

Slow down! China to set tempo of national anthem China has already banned its national anthem from being belted out at weddings and funerals – but now, even more restrictions are on the way. A law is being prepared to set the tempo at which the ballad should be played and sung, with consequences for those who put the anthem in a "damaging situation".Concerns have been growing that the patriotic number, called March Of The Volunteers, is "not universally respected and cherished".State media has reported on recent "chaos" where people have laughed as the song was played, with others making a ruckus.

Underwood — a seven-time Grammy Award winner — is of course married to Predators captain Mike Fisher, and has been known show her support for the team on social media.

“I don’t blame Carrie Underwood or Luke Bryan or any of the other acts who have performed,” said Morgan. “I’ve been as good-natured as I can be. With my closest friends, I’ve certainly shared my disappointment. But most of the time I’ll toe the company line and say, ‘Why am I not singing? Because I don’t have seven Grammys, I’m not married to the captain, she’s a whole lot prettier than me,’ that kind of thing and try to leave it at that.”

The Predators released this statement when contacted by The Tennessean:

“We have always valued Dennis K. Morgan’s performance of the national anthem at Predators’ home games. Our arrangement with him has always allowed for nationally and internationally renowned musical artists to perform when available to further enhance our game experience while paying respect to our country through their respective awe-inspiring renditions of the national anthem. The reaction from our fans in Bridgestone Arena as well as from around the country to seeing and hearing world class performers such as Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Vince Gill and his daughters, Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs has been overwhelmingly positive, bringing national and international exposure to our community while continuing to set our game experience and atmosphere apart from others in professional sports.”

Subban: Nashville 'is an 'A' market for hockey' .
Maybe P.K. Subban was right all along. Traded by the Montreal Canadiens to the Nashville Predators in an offseason blockbuster, Subban was headed to a market still relatively new to hockey, but one where he felt he could win.
