After "The Notorious" opened as a +700 underdog to a -1100 favorite in Floyd Mayweather earlier this week for their upcoming blockbuster boxing match, an early influx of bets have cut "Money" down to as low as -600 on several sports books, ESPN's David Purdum reports.

The Caesars Palace book reportedly saw 140 of the bout's first 144 bets placed on the UFC lightweight champ at a potential 5-to-1 return, with the bulk of them coming in small amounts.

According to Purdum, the Las Vegas venue has taken more action for McGregor's pro boxing debut over the past two days than it has for Saturday's rematch between Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev over the past 30.

While casual fans are banking on a major upset, Mayweather continues to draw greater bets, with the Westgate SuperBook and CG Technology taking wagers of $50,000 and $45,000, respectively - the former before the fight was even confirmed. Although McGregor currently accounts for 90 percent of the bets at the Westgate, 79 percent of the money has been put on Mayweather.

As for the odds on the method of victory, the Westgate has Mayweather at 5-9 for a knockout and 2-1 for a win on points, with McGregor at 6-1 for a stoppage and a gaudy 30-1 for a decision.

The fighters meet in a 12-round boxing match on Aug. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
