  Halifax man facing child porn charges after months-long investigation A 38-year-old Halifax man is facing child pornography charges after police searched his home on Thursday. According to a news release from Halifax Regional Police, they started an investigation in April after receiving information regarding online child pornography involving a nude photo of a young child on social media.

image © image image HALIFAX — Sidney Crosby is welcoming the Stanley Cup to his native Nova Scotia for a third time.

Phil Pritchard, the Cup’s keeper, tweeted a photo of the Pittsburgh Penguins captain hoisting the trophy above his head beside an airplane in Halifax.

Pritchard also shared a photo of Crosby placing a pink stuffed kitten on the Cup’s rim while making the rounds at a local children’s hospital.

Crosby was also spotted chatting with seniors at a veterans’ retirement home with the prize in tow.

The three-time Cup champion will celebrate his 30th birthday on Monday by parading the trophy through Halifax and Rimouski, Que.

Crosby has shown off professional hockey’s most prestigious trophy twice before in his hometown of Cole Harbour, N.S., in 2009 and 2016.

NHL superstar Sidney Crosby said it's "just a number," as he turned 30 on Monday and brandished the Stanley Cup in a parade that wound through Halifax in his native Nova Scotia. Crosby rode on the back of a white pickup truck as marshal of the city's annual Natal Day parade, waving to thousands of fans who lined the streets for a glimpse of "Sid the Kid" and the revered cup.
