Daniel Weichel will have to vie for revenge another time.

The 32-year-old won't be challenging featherweight champion Patricio Freire at Bellator 188 on Nov. 16 in Tel Aviv, Israel, as Freire has pulled out due to injury, MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz reports.

The card's original co-headliner, a featherweight tilt between native son Noad Lahat and Jeremiah Labiano, will now serve as its closer.

According to Freire's team, his brother, Patricky, volunteered to face Weichel at lightweight or any taker at a catchweight of 160 pounds, but Bellator has instead opted to reschedule Patricio's rematch with Weichel, Cruz reports.

The featherweight champ revealed in a statement he'd sustained several injuries during his preparation for what would have marked the first title defense of his second reign, and opted to pull out over the weekend when he aggravated one of them. He aims to resume training in 30 days and meet Weichel in February at the latest.

The pair first squared off in June 2015 at Bellator 138, where Freire KO'd Weichel in the second and final title defense of his first stint as 145-pound champion. Weichel has gone unbeaten in four straight bouts since.
