Not even the Toronto Blue Jays and their domed stadium are immune to a severe mid-April storm that led to a rash of postponed games across Major League Baseball over the last couple days.

The Blue Jays were forced to postpone Monday's game against the Kansas City Royals after a chunk of ice fell from the CN Tower and damaged the Rogers Centre's retractable roof, causing water to leak onto the field.

The two teams will play a traditional doubleheader Tuesday with the first game starting at 3:07 pm.

Crews attempted to repair the roof in time for first pitch but were unable to and the Blue Jays scrapped the game due to safety reasons.
