  The Latest: Police say gunman killed 4 child hostages ORLANDO, Fla. - The Latest on officer shooting and hostage situation with children in Orlando (all times local): 12:30 a.m. Orlando authorities say the man who shot a police officer has killed four children he was holding hostage Monday. The children were believed to be ages 1, 6, 10 and 11. The Orlando Sentinel reports that the gunman also killed himself. Orlando police Chief John Mina said at a press conference just before midnight that the suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Gary Wayne Lindsey Jr.Authorities say the convicted felon was out on probation when he shot and wounded Officer Kevin Valencia on Sunday.

MONTREAL - Ignacio Piatti ended a five-game scoring drought with two goals as the Montreal Impact downed slumping Orlando City 3-0 on a rainy Wednesday night.

Montreal (5-11-0) also benefited from an own goal while handing Orlando (6-8-1) a sixth straight defeat. The Impact picked up only their second win in their the last seven games, but their second in a row at home.

It was the first of back to back games between the Eastern Conference clubs, with the rematch June 23 in Orlando.

Ignacio Piatti scored twice to become the Impact 's all-time scoring leader in its MLS era while Ambroise Oyongo also scored for Montreal ( 3 -4-4), which ended a frustrating home losing run at two games.

The Impact had the pressure on again after the intermission and it produced a second goal as Piatti fed Daniel Lovitz on the left side for a cross that went in off sliding defender Amro Tarek for an own goal in the 55th.
