Shakira and Gerard Pique's Barcelona home robbed
Shakira and her soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique's home in Barcelona, Spain, was raided by thieves on Wednesday (June 6). The burglars targeted the couple's home in Esplugues de Llobregat, a wealthy area of the city, in the early hours of the morning and stole valuables including watches and jewellery, according to Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

Former major-league pitcher Kevin Brown reported to police that his mail had been stolen from his home in Macon, Ga. The 53-year-old then took matters into his own hands.
Brown hid in a neighbour's yard and waited for the culprits to return, and return they did. Brown caught two men, who were later arrested, and held them at gunpoint until police deputies arrived, officers told Laura Corley of the Miami Herald.
One of the alleged thieves was an adult male, while the other was a 15-year-old. No further information was available.
Brown played parts of 19 seasons in the major leagues between the Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Miami (then Florida) Marlins, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and New York Yankees.

New Brunswick thieves have made off with a unique collection of old Canadian currency dating back to the 1930s.
