What happened to the draft picks the Leafs traded away?

What happened to the draft picks the Leafs traded away? Four draft picks that used to belong to the Maple Leafs were used on draft day. Who went where? Teams trade draft picks all the time, and few teams hang on to all of their original picks in each draft, so for the fun of it, here’s all the picks at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft that started out as Toronto’s and who was selected with them by some other team: Pick #25 This pick was traded on the draft floor to St. Louis for the 29th and the 76th. The Blues initiated this trade and traded up to take forward Dominik Bokk. So, that means they didn’t take Joe Veleno either. Huh. Bokk is the German winger playing in the SHL and the Swedish junior league. He’s a teammate of Pontus Holmberg, who the Leafs selected with a much later pick. Bokk was ranked 18 on Bob McKenzie’s consensus rankings, but the middle portion of that list did not get drafted as expected. Pick #56 This pick went to Montréal as part of the Tomas Plekanec trade. The Habs took Jacob Olofsson. He’s a Swedish centre who was ranked 40th on McKenzie’s list. The Leafs passed him by to take Sean Durzi at 52. Pick #87 This pick has been on an odyssey. The Leafs gave it up as the compensation pick for signing Lou Lamoriello, so if the hockey gods had been paying attention, it should have ended up with the Islanders. Instead, the Devils traded it to the Capitals as part of the Marcus Johansson deal. The Capitals traded it to Chicago as part of the Michal Kempny trade, which is likely the smartest deadline deal made last season.

Report: Mark Hunter a possibility to join Islanders' front office .
There could be a reunion brewing on Long Island, as former Toronto Maple Leafs assistant general manager Mark Hunter might join Lou Lamoriello in the New York Islanders' front office, reports Arthur Staple of The Athletic. It's unknown what role Hunter may have, adds Staple, but the 55-year-old also served as head of the scouting department during his tenure with the Leafs. Shortly after Toronto chose Kyle Dubas to take over Lamoriello's role as GM, Hunter, who was also in the running for the job, left the team. However, his agreement with the Maple Leafs prevents him from joining a new team until July 15.
